Starting to Look Like a Baby

Last night, I began to notice a few things about you.  Your skin is pink now, not translucent.  We can no longer see your heart beating through your chest.  Your limbs are fatter, and sometimes... sometimes... your eyes are open.  I realized that you were starting to look like a baby for the first time.

  1. Grandma Smith sent me this photo last night! I actually was tempted to use the word chunky to describe her. I wish I could be there right now to see my little Ellie. Love you all

  2. Yep, starting to see some chunk. She's been going up and up on her breast milk feedings.

    1. All that breast milk is going to give her an edge fighting the infection, plus it probably has probiotic properties to help her gut stay healthy after the antibiotics. Good job Rani for having "boobs of a champ" :-)

    2. In RPGs like World of Warcraft, Rani was a pro "grinder." That's when you just slam your face against stuff in the game that most people would be bored with until you are the best at it. That's basically Rani's approach with lactation. She has a lactation spreadsheet, goals, etc. When she doesn't meet her goals, she steps it up. It's a good thing I don't have mammary glands, because we would probably both be REALLY competitive about it and she hates it when I outperform her.

  3. It was great to see Ellie last night with her eyes open. I honestly didn't want to leave. She is starting to look like a baby now...
