It’s hard not to analyze your every little move. To garner from it some glimmer of your personality. I wonder whether your mother and I do this because we’re afraid
it may be the only chance we get to know the person that you are and, more
importantly, the person that you could be.
For instance, you have this thing you do. Every once in awhile, you pump both arms
beside your chest, then you raise a clenched fist into the air. “Viva la revolution!” A dissident, are we? I think I like it. Just remember, question authority
just enough
to change the world, but not so much that you don’t do everything your parents
tell you to!
